29 APRIL 2014
We share the concerns of our party membership that are expressed in a number of reports of alleged irregularity in the conduct of party election, including one in Sarawak. We are hopeful that the Party will carry out the necessary investigation into these reports.
We have no knowledge of the alleged blackout and the state PKR is not involved in the conduct of the party election.
The party election is conducted by an Election Committee that is independent, headed by Dato' Johari Abdul, Member of Parliament for Sungai Petani, Kedah. The co-ordinator for Sarawak is our former state chief Haji Wan Zainal Wan Sanusi. We have been informed that the Election Committee is investigating the allegations made.
The Party has its channel for our members and candidates to lodge their complaints and raise questions on the conduct of the election. Public comments and statements are unnecessary and are discouraged as they may prejudice the investigations and are certainly against the interests of the Party.
